The second stop of this trip was to Bainbridge Island! I already been there before but the ferry is the best place to see Seattle.
The Waterfront is still under construction, like the last time, but at least parts of the pedestrian road has opened up. One of the more iconic structure on the Waterfront is the Seattle Great Wheel. Tickets can be purchased online.
The ferry terminal to Bainbridge Island is located at Pier 52. Return ticket is $8 per person and the ride is about 30 minutes each way.
We walked off the ferry and about a 5 minutes walk later, we were at Winslow, the main town at Bainbridge Island. It is a quiet little town, where a lot of people come for weekend getaways but also home to lots of retirees.
We walked through downtown and then to the seaside for some coffee at Pegasus Coffee.
Honestly, I spent most of my time here at Pegasus Coffee playing on free internet! Afterwards, we took a walk near the seaside.
The next stop in Seattle consists of a quick run through International District, Pioneer Square and up toward the lower Queen Anne district.
