Kelowna : Day 2 – Gyro Beach & along Pandosy

I continued sitting on the bus 8 from the University of BC – Okanagan all the way to Pandosy Street.  Near here are a series of beaches along Lake Okanagan but the more famous ones is Boyce-Gyro Beach. I got off the bus and then walked on Pandosy Street.  Most of the street ends with… Continue reading Kelowna : Day 2 – Gyro Beach & along Pandosy

Kelowna : Day 1 – Lakeside City Parks

Alone at last!  Heading down from the Knox Mountain, I walked down Ellis Street and then turned to Clement Ave to find myself among modern residential buildings and a series of psark. The parks are next to the Okanagan Lake, a 135 km long water body that runs through the city of Penticton, Kelowna and up to Vernon.  Its more… Continue reading Kelowna : Day 1 – Lakeside City Parks

Vancouver : UBC – Museum, hike and Beach

Below: Chasing the last sunset of… Continue reading Parksville : Vancouver Island – Sailing on the Horizons and Bidding Farewell to 2015

Seattle : Around town

After Bainbridge Island, we went to a lot of places starting with the King Street Station!  This is where one would take the Amtrak.  I did that the last time I went to Seattle.  (link: https://migasdiary.wordpress.com/2015/05/27/seattle-washington-day-2-lake-union-seattle-center-safeco-intl-dist-id/) We only passed by here, as our main purpose was to go to the International District’s Uwajima, a Japanese market located next to… Continue reading Seattle : Around town

Vancouver : Stanley Park Seawall

Nice weather and late sunset means more time to do activities – like walking around the 8.8 km  seawall around Stanley Park! Technically we started at Waterfront Station and walked along the Canada Place through Coal Harbour towards Stanley Park; therefore, we walked more than 8.8 kilometers!  We never intended to walk the whole way but somewhere… Continue reading Vancouver : Stanley Park Seawall
